The Dr.-Herbert-Stolzenberg Award for Dr. Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska

fotoOn 2nd June 2022, at the Giessen University in Germany, Dr. Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska was conferred the Dr.-Herbert-Stolzenberg Award for the research project entitled "Freedom of economic activity in Polish and German legal culture - a comparative perspective" implemented in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. The Dr.-Herbert-Stolzenberg Award is conferred every two years for outstanding research in the social, economic and legal sciences at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen.

The recognized scientific achievement concerned research conducted by Dr. Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska in the framework of the scientific project entitled "Freedom of economic activity in Polish and German legal culture - a comparative perspective", which was headed by Dr. Hanna Wolska.

The project entitled „Freedom of economic activity in Polish and German legal culture – a comparative perspective" funded by the Polish-German foundation for science (PNFN), had the aim of performing scientific research on the legal conditions of the freedom to conduct business in Poland and Germany and the impact of the European integration process on economic relations in these countries.

The above objective was achieved through the implementation of the following scientific projects: (1) scientific debate; (2) launch of an internet platform ("Polish – German Forum for the Exchange of Legal Thought"); (3) scientific publication summarizing the reflections undertaken by the representatives of the Polish and German legal science in the framework of the first two activities entitled "Freedom of economic activity in Polish and German legal culture - a comparative perspective (Freiheit der wirtschaftlichen Tätigkeiten in der polnischen und deutschen Rechtskultur - Eine Rechtsvergleichende Perspektive)", of which, among others, dr Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska was the editor.
