ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DEAN

OF THE FACULTY OF LAW AND ADMINISTRATION

OF 18.01.2022

 

REGARDING THE ORGANISATION OF CLASSES AT THE FACULTY OF LAW AND ADMINISTRATION
IN THE SUMMER SEMESTER OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

 

Implementing the provisions of Decree no. 11/R/22 of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk of 17 January 2022 on the rules for the organisation of didactic and scientific research activity of the University of Gdańsk during the SARS-CoV-2 virus crisis in the summer semester of the academic year 2021/2022 and in consultation with the Student Council of the Faculty of Law and Administration, I hereby announce that in the summer semester of the academic year 2021/2022:

 

I. All didactic classes at the faculty will be held in-person according to the timetable adopted for classes and in compliance with the current sanitary regime, taking account of the decisions, recommendations and guidelines of the State Sanitary Inspectorate authorities and the rules in place in a given venue in a manner which:

 

- allows for the alternate in-person participation of 50% of students according to the list referred to in point V and the remote participation of the remaining students from the list, except as indicated in point III of this Announcement.

 

II. Students participating in classes should be healthy. They are obliged to regularly disinfect their hands, organise the airing of classrooms and ensure that other rules resulting from point I are observed. 

Students are obliged to wear masks covering the face not only during classes but also in the common spaces of the building of the Faculty of Law and Administration, especially in corridors, toilets and eateries.

 

III. At the request of the diploma seminar teacher and with the unanimous approval of the seminar participants, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration may consent to these classes being held exclusively in-person or exclusively remotely by means of MS Teams.

 

IV. The streaming of classes for students participating remotely will be carried out by the course teacher via MS Teams.

 

V. The list of students participating in classes in the building of the Faculty of Law and Administration in particular weeks or sessions will be created by the students themselves in a way which will allow for the participation of 50% of students from a given group in each week or session. The above-mentioned list should be submitted to the Dean’s Office by no later than 14 February 2022 through the Student Council. Should no list be submitted within the above deadline, the groups will be divided alphabetically.

 

VI. Should a student be unable to participate in in-person classes due to illness or another justified reason, he/she should participate remotely, with no change to the future class participation schedule. Such a student is obliged to inform the course teacher of the circumstances justifying his/her absence from the in-person class no later than before the start of the class. 

VII. The course teacher is obliged, by means of an attendance list, to verify the participation of students attending in-person as well as those taking part remotely. Course teachers are obliged to retain the attendance lists and make them available, should it become necessary for the State Sanitary Inspectorate (Sanepid) or other authorised persons to identify individuals who have been in contact with persons infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

 

VIII. Academic teachers and persons conducting classes are obliged to carry out in-person consultations at regular pre-established times, as communicated on the unit’s internet site, while at the same time offering students the possibility of participating in consultations online by means of MS Teams or another appropriate application which allows for synchronous distance communication.

 

IX. Classes in first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle studies will be supervised in the following manner: full-time studies by the Deputy Dean for Research and part-time studies (evening and extramural) by the Deputy Dean for Education.

 

X. Persons conducting classes both in University premises and remotely are obliged to keep a monthly record of classes according to the annex to this Announcement. The record should include all the classes conducted in full according to the programme of study. A completed table should be sent by the course teacher to the Head of the Organisational unit.

 

XI. Summary tables containing the collation of all the classes conducted by a given Department, Division or another organisational unit, should be sent by a person authorised by the Head of the Unit to Ms Anna Okoń, email: anna.okon@ug.edu.pl, by no later than 30.06.2022.

 

XII. A student who has been directed to quarantine or home isolation or has been referred to a COVID-19 test by a primary or night care practitioner and has not yet received the result is obliged to communicate this fact immediately to the following e-mail address: teresa.ozorowska@prawo.ug.edu.pl, indicating the field, form, year and semester of study, as well as the student group number and the date on which he/she last participated in classes in the building of the Faculty of Law and Administration.
