Year 1

Obligatory courses:

General methodology of research – 8 hours

Methodology of historical, dogmatic, and theoretical legal research - 18 hours

Philosophy / Economics – 30 hours

Introduction to the English Legal Terminology – 20 hours

Consultations with supervisor – 15 hours

Facultative courses:

Workshop: Editing scientific publication – 8 hours

Workshop: Methodology of teaching – 8 hours

Practice:

Teaching – 10 hours

Objectives: to specify the topic of thesis and to prepare its concept and plan

Year 2

Obligatory courses:

Seminars – Contemporary problems of science:

1. History of law and political and legal doctrines  – 10 hours

2. Criminal law - 10 hours

3. Administrative law – 10 hours

4. Constitutional law – 10 hours

Comparative law – 20 hours

Consultations with supervisor – 15 hours

Facultative courses:

Workshop: using data bases – 10 hours

Workshop: intellectual property protection in academic research - 10 hours

Practice:

Teaching – 10 hours 

Objectives: To prepare a preliminary bibliographic database; to prepare a chapter or a part of the thesis (and optionally a study for publication (eg. article, gloss, review))

Year 3

Obligatory courses:

Seminars – Contemporary problems of science:

1. Civil law – 10 hours

2. Financial law – 10 hours

3. Criminal trial law – 10 hours

4. Administrative proceedings law – 10 hours

5. Public international law – 10 hours

6. Environmental law – 10 hours

7. Intellectual property law – 10 hours

Consultations with supervisor – 15 hours

Facultative courses:

Workshop: legal logic, rhetoric and theory of argumentation – 8 hours

Workshop: economic analysis of law - 8 hours

Practice:

Teaching – 10 hours

Objectives: to prepare further chapters of the thesis (and optionally a study for publication (eg. article, gloss, review))

Year 4

Obligatory courses:

Seminars – contemporary problems of science:

1. Civil trial law – 10 hours

2. Commercial law and European private law– 10 hours

3. Maritime law – 10 hours

4. Public economic law – 10 hours

5. Labour law – 10 hours

6. EU law – 10 hours

7. Theory and philosophy of law and human rights law – 10 hours

Consultations with supervisor – 15 hours

Practice:

Teaching – 10 hours

Objectives: completion of a doctoral thesis and preparation of the defense
