The bumpy road to Brexit: the political and legal challenges of the UK's withdrawal process
The Brexit referendum caused both a political and a constitutional crisis in the UK. Much of the challenges arose from the novelty of a country leaving the EU. The bilateral negotiations happened in two phases: Phase 1 - ending the existing relations, Phase 2 -establishing new alternative trade links. Finally, Britain left the EU after fours years of turmoil and the new trade agreement was also signed. However, the ties have been still fragile since then.
All members and friends of our Faculty community are very welcome to attend!
