Environmental risk and insurance

"Environmental risk and insurance" - is the title of a new publication, which was published by the Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. The publication is the result of the VIII Conference of the AIDA Polska, the theme of which was "Risk and insurance in environmental protection". The scientific co-editor is Dorota Maśniak, prof. UG - Head of the Insurance Law Laboratory at our Faculty. Together with her, the scientific editing was undertaken by Katarzyna Malinowska, prof. ALK and attorney Anna Tarasiuk.

The book presents both - theoretical and practical issues relating to environmental regulations in the context of insurance - and it does from a national and international perspective. It was possible thanks to the participation of respected scientists and practitioners who are close to the issues of broadly understood environmental insurance in Poland and in Europe.

The subject of the chapters goes beyond the juridical issue of environmental risks, but also takes into account aspects of new technologies and economics.
