About the Speaker:
Atty. Patrick J. McKinley is a distinguished legal expert with decades of experience in criminal law and prosecution. A graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Kern County and spent 38 years in the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office, including 24 years as Assistant District Attorney.
Throughout his career, he played a pivotal role in high-profile cases, extraditions, and international legal cooperation with Germany, Israel, and Canada. Since retiring from prosecution, he has dedicated himself to legal education, lecturing on American Criminal Law and Procedure at universities across Europe, Asia, and South America. His engaging teaching style, enriched by real-life case studies, provides valuable insights into the practical workings of the justice system.
