About the Lecturer:
Prof. Malvika Seth holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from New York University (NYU) and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University.
She served as a Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant at the Supreme Court of India, focusing on constitutional and criminal law. She has worked as a pro bono advocate and researcher with People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), Jaipur, contributing to the right to food campaign, access to justice for women, and community outreach.
During her LL.M., she volunteered with MADRE, a New York-based women’s rights organization. She was later awarded the NYU-International Finance and Development Fellowship and worked with the International Development Law Organization in Rome. She co-developed an online summer program on Human Rights and Business with City, University of London, jointly taught at JGLS and City, University of London. She was a co-awardee of the British Council Going Global Partnership Grant (2021), developing an LL.M. module on Global Rights and Business with the University of Birmingham, launched in 2022. She also received an Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF) grant for research on Cultural Expertise and Litigation in South Asia and Europe. She teaches Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Law of Evidence, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and courses on Law, Business, and Human Rights.
