IXth Polish-Italian Legal Colloquium

On September 1-4, 2022 the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń co-organized the IXth Polish – Italian legal colloquium which took place in Lublin. The title of the colloquium this year was: “Human rights in the face of contemporary challenges: Polish and Italian experiences”.

 

The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk was represented at the colloquium by members of the Department of Constitutional Law and Political Institutions – prof. Krzysztof Grajewski, Dr. Agnieszka Gajda and Aleksandra Szydzik, MA.

 

The colloquium was divided into five sessions – during the second session Dr. Agnieszka Gajda, presented a paper entitled “Ombudsman as the guardian of rights and freedoms in Poland”, while during the fourth session Aleksandra Szydzik, MA, delivered a paper entitled “The impact of delegation of judges on the right to a fair trial”.

 

The Polish – Italian legal colloquium is a cyclical scientific event, organized alternately in Poland and in Italy that constitutes an international forum for discussion and initiation of joint research projects devoted to comparative constitutional law.

 

Post-conference papers are going to be published, after final acceptance, in the scientific journal “Studia Iuridica Toruniensia”.
