Lecture by Giuseppe Abbamonte, Director for Media Policy at the European Commission
On May 13, 2021, Mr. Giuseppe Abbamonte - Director for Media Policy of the EU at the European Commission, gave a special lecture for students and employees of our Faculty entitled "The rise of the artificial artist: AI creativity, copyright, and database right". In his lecture, Mr. Giuseppe Abbamonte referred to the issues related to copyright in relation to products of artificial intelligence (AI). An interesting discussion took place after the lecture, in which the subject of planning a reform in the field of database protection at the level of EU institutions was also discussed.
As part of the cooperation with the Department of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Rights, director Giuseppe Abbamonte will visit our Faculty again this fall. We cordially invite to this meeting. Detailed information will be published in the information channels of our Faculty.
