Speech by Assoc. Prof. Maciej Nyka, DSc at the European Environmental Law Forum (EELF) 2021

On September 8-10, 2021 the annual congress of the European Environmental Law Forum (EELF) was held. EELF is the largest international association of environmental lawyers. This year's conference was hosted by the University of Bournemouth. The topic of the conference was “Social and Scientific Uncertainties in Environmental Law. Due to the threat of COVID-19, the conference was carried out online. At the conference dr hab. Maciej Nyka, prof. UG from the Department of Public Economic Law and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. He presented a paper entitled “Adaptivity and flexibility in legal norms concerning the maritime spatial planning as a response to knowledge and information gaps on the sustainable use of the sea - the Baltic Sea perspective”. Among papers presented at the conference, there were also papers presented by Prof. Iwona Wrońska and prof. Tomasz Dubowski from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bialystok. Joint preparations for the conference and coordination of the topics of the speeches presented there was one of the goals of the research internship, which Prof. Wrońska and prof. Dubowski was carried out in the spring of this year at the Department of Public Economic Law and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. We congratulate all lecturers on their interesting presentations, and the organizers of a perfectly prepared scientific event where nearly 150 scientists from all over the world presented their research.
