Participation of Faculty scholars in the international project “Documents cross borders - Identities on the move (DXB)”
Team of scholars from our Faculty: Assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Balwicka-Szczyrba, Assoc. Prof. Anna Sylwestrzak, and PhD student of the Doctoral School of the University of Gdańsk Dominik Damian Mielewczyk, MA, were invited to an international research project entitled “Documents cross borders - Identities on the move (DXB)”, financed from EU funds. The DXB Consortium connects academic partners and law practitioners, including from the Università degli Studi di Verona (Italy), the Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck (Austria) and the University of Aristotle in Thessaloniki (Greece). The project covers all Member States of the European Union.
The involvement of the Polish research team mainly concerns the preparation of a comprehensive Report on the national legal system in connection with Regulation 2016/1191, which significantly simplifies the circulation of documents and promotes freedom of movement. The project aims to examine how the Regulation is implemented within the framework of specific national practices, including the so-called "hard cases"
Upon completion of the Project, an e-book will be published in the assured formula of free access and at least four scientific articles in leading European journals.
