Prof. Tomasz T. Koncewicz’s paper in the latest issue of “Debates and Documents Collection” of the Jean Monnet Foundation, Lausanne

In the latest issue of the "Debates and Documents Collection" series (No. 22, October 2021) , published by the Jean Monnet Foundation, a new publication by Assoc. Prof. Tomasz Koncewicz has been released.

The essay by Prof. Koncewicz argues that the so-called reform of the Polish judicial system has triggered a paradigm shift in the case law of the European Court of Justice. In response to referrals from Polish courts and in ruling on infringement actions brought by the Commission, the Court of Justice has been taken to task and has remained true to its mandate; in the words of former Court judge C. Kakouris: its “mission” is to ensure “supranational legality” in the field of application and interpretation of EU law. The publication is available online in an open-access form.
