First INTERNATIONAL WEEK at our Faculty
The first edition of INTERNATIONAL WEEK is underway - a new initiative in the field of academic international cooperation at our Faculty.
This week we host as many as 15 scientists and employees of international cooperation offices from around the world at our Faculty. We were visited by guests from partner universities from: Armenia (Eurasia International University), Bosnia and Herzegovina (University Vitez), China (Ocean University of China), Georgia (Caucasus University), South Africa (University of Johannesburg), and Uzbekistan (Tashkent State University of Law).
Our foreign guests were met and officially welcomed at the Faculty by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Wojciech Zalewski - thanking for the cooperation so far, and inviting to its further development and strengthening.
From Monday, our guests, under the care of the faculty team of English Division, held meetings and training in the field of international cooperation, visited our Faculty and the Oliwa Campus. Academic networking made it possible to establish mutual relations between representatives of our partner universities.
One of the important points of the program, which had been planned for over a year, was a meeting of representatives of the Student Legal Clinic of our Faculty (Dr. Maciej Mikliński) and the Student Legal Clinic of the University of Johannesburg (attorney Elton Romeo Hart) aimed at establishing cooperation and exchanging experiences. The Johannesburg Student Law Clinic is a very valuable and interesting partner. In 2021, the Joahnnesburg Clinic was celebrating 40th anniversary of its activity. It has invaluable and extensive experience in organizing the process of introducing law students to providing legal assistance to the most needy people who cannot afford a commercial legal representative.
In addition to training and academic topics, the guests visited the main attractions of the Tri-City and the region.
The success of the first edition of International Week makes us want to develop and continue this event in the next academic year.
