The 10th Anniversary Edition of the Colloquium provided an opportunity to reminisce about the origins and history of this unique and valuable initiative.
Its origins date back to 1982, when two 'Founding Fathers' of the Colloquium met in Rome - Prof. Zbigniew Witkowski - today Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Nicolas Copernicus University in Torun, and Prof. Gian Carlo de Martin of the Luiss School of Law (Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome).
Since then, with only a few interruptions, every two years, alternating between Italy and Poland, Italian and Polish scientists meet to jointly present and discuss various aspects of Constitutional Law and related fields.
In June 2016. The Department of Constitutional Law of our Faculty organised the 6th edition of the Colloquium in Gdansk.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the initiators of this excellent initiative, our sincere thanks and congratulations to the organisers of this year's edition - under the direction of Dr Piero Gambale, and our sincere thanks to the partners and patrons of this year's edition: Luiss Guido Carli, Faculty of Law and Administration of the Nicolas Copernicus University in Torun, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Rome, Consiglio Regionale della Puglia, Università degli Studi di Foggia, Marquise Janina Umiastowska Foundation of Rome, Fondazione dei Monti Uniti di Foggia, Per il Meglio della Puglia.
