Report: Seminar on “The Principle of Judicial Independence”

On 24 March, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk hosted a seminar entitled “The Principle of Judicial Independence”, organized as part of the international project of the Polish-German Foundation for Science entitled “Judicial Independence in Polish and German Legal Doctrine”. The project is being carried out by the University of Gdańsk in cooperation with the European University Viadrina under the leadership of Professor Adam Wiśniewski.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Tomasz Widłak (Department of Theory and Philosophy of State and Law) has authored a chapter titled “The Teleology of Peace and Kelsen’s Philosophy of International Law” in the recently published and highly anticipated book “Kelsen’s Legacy: Legal Normativity, International Law and Democracy” (Hart Publishing / Bloomsbury Publishing Plc). The volume is edited by Jorge Emilio Núñez, Gonzalo Villa-Rosas, and Jorge Luis Fabra-Zamora.
