‘The digital age has altered our concept of privacy’ - interview with our Faculty's Visiting Professor Said Gulyamov
We invite you to read an interview with Prof. Said Gulyamov from Tashkent State University of Law, who has been collaborating with researchers from our Faculty for several years. Recently, as a laureate of the University of Gdańsk Visiting Professors program, he visited our Faculty as a visiting professor.
Prof. Said Gulyamov is a recognized expert in the field of digital law and emerging technologies, currently serving as the Head of the Cyber Law Department at Tashkent State University of Law. He specializes in areas at the intersection of law, technology, and ethics, with a particular focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on legal practice and investigative procedures. His research explores the transformative influence of digital technologies on legal systems, privacy rights, and cybersecurity. In addition to his academic activities, Prof. Gulyamov actively contributes to national and international commissions on digital law and technology policy, offering his expertise in shaping regulations that harmonize technological advancements with legal and ethical requirements. As the President of the Council of Young Scientists at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he is dedicated to fostering the next generation of legal professionals and scholars.
Prof. Gulyamov successfully combines his academic expertise with practical legal experience, serving as Vice President and Partner at the prestigious law firm “Gulyamov Sadikov and Partners,” where he provides legal consultancy on technology law and digital innovation.
In the past, he also served as Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he gained valuable experience in inter-institutional cooperation and international legislation.
