Laws relating to reproductive and abortion rights under International Law
This lecture will delve into the vital topic of laws pertaining to reproductive and abortion rights under international law. It will explore their pivotal role in safeguarding human rights, promoting gender equality, and improving public health outcomes. These laws address specific reproductive health needs, contribute to reducing maternal mortality, and empower women by granting control over their reproductive choices. Additionally, they play a key role in bridging global disparities in access to reproductive health services, providing legal safeguards against coercion and discrimination. The lecture will also highlight how these laws establish international accountability mechanisms, ensuring governments uphold and enforce reproductive rights, ultimately fostering a more just and equitable society.
All members and friends of our Faculty community are very welcome to attend!
