Seminar: Ethics in Artificial Intelligence with prof. Ricardo Baeza-Yates (Northeastern University, USA)
On January 18, 2022 the Department of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law and School of Spanish and Latin American Law organized a seminar on Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, which is part of a series of seminars regarding various aspects of AI . The speaker was prof. Ricardo Baeza-Yates from Institute for Experiential AI - Northeastern University, USA - a recognized authority on the subject of ethics in ArtificiaI Intelligence. The lecture discussed ethical, legal and social implications that arise from the development of Artificial Intelligence and covered, among others, current challenges such as discrimination, phrenology or unfair digital commerce. The seminar met with a great interest of the interdisciplinary audience of more than 80 participants - students, scientists and representatives of legal professions - and was followed by the fruitful discussion.
