Guest Lecture by Assist. Prof. Nikita Nimbalkar (School of Law, CHRIST University, India)Ms. Nikita Nimbalkar presently holds a position of Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and teaches Economics for Law and Public Policy. Her recent research focuses on understanding digital financial literacy among slum women in Dharavi, Mumbai and Parvati, Pune. Embarking on her professional journey as a Chief Minister's Fellow with the Government of Maharashtra, Ms. Nikita subsequently made significant contributions to many developmental projects. She also worked at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Her expertise extended to playing a pivotal role in budget preparation for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Investment Policy, Promoting Mumbai city in 'Megacities Alliance on Water and Climate' under UNESCO etc. showcasing a diverse skill set. Additionally, she led the 'Home Isolation of Covid-19 patients' Project, utilizing digital tracking to effectively manage COVID-positive patients during the pandemic in Mumbai. Furthermore, she has been instrumental in various government projects, particularly emphasizing the digitalization of public service delivery and socio-economic upliftment.

In the lecture: “Comparative study of economic policy in India and Poland”, the Lecturer will delve into the economic policies of India and Poland, two nations with distinct historical and socio-economic contexts. She will analyze how their unique circumstances have influenced their policy decisions, the challenges they have encountered, and the strategies they have implemented to drive growth and development. By examining key sectors and regulatory frameworks, the Lecturer aims to uncover valuable insights that can inform future economic planning in both countries.
