About the Speaker:

Guest Lecture by Dr. Salu Dsouza (School of Law, CHRIST University, INDIA)Dr Salu Dsouza is a lecturer and researcher for 28 years, specializing in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies.

He holds multiple academic credentials, including a BA from St. Joseph’s College Bangalore, an MA in Political Science (First Rank, two Gold Medals) from Bangalore University, and postgraduate degrees in Public Administration and English Language & Literature. A University of Cambridge-certified ESOL teacher, he also earned a CELTA certification (2007) and a Trinity College London certificate in ICT for classrooms. His academic journey culminated in an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the Central University of Gujarat.

Dr. Dsouza has held teaching positions in the Maldives, Eritrea, and at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) - Surathkal. His research focuses on the Indian diaspora, particularly its sociocultural, political, and economic impact. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences, published research papers, and served as a reviewer for SCOPUS-indexed journals.

His excellence in research has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Jagdish Chandra Sharma IPSA National Award (2016), Best Research Scholar Award (2018), Mahatma Gandhi National Award for Best Researcher (2018), and Global Youth Icon Award (2022). He was also a Primary Evaluator for Toycathon 2021, an initiative by India’s Ministry of Education. Currently, Dr. Dsouza is an Associate Professor at Christ Universit, India.
