Shivani Bhagyalakshmi Devi Georgijevic is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Mauritius, where she serves within the Faculty of Law and Management at the Department of Law.

Her teaching and research focus on human rights and comparative law, and she has been involved in academic events promoting global legal education, such as the University’s “Global Horizons” International Week, where she represented the Department of Law.

Before joining the University of Mauritius, she gained academic and professional experience in legal education and consultancy, including contributions to publications addressing issues of gender and justice in Africa . Additionally, she has participated in policy-related legal consultancy in Mauritius, emphasizing her engagement with issues of law, equality, and social development.
