About the Speaker:

Guest Lecture by Dr. Saslina Kamaruddin (Sultan Idris Education University, Malaysia)Dr. Saslina Kamaruddin is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Management & Economics at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. She holds a Bachelor of Law & Commerce (Hons.) from the Management & Science University, a Master of Laws, and a PhD in Law from Universiti Teknologi MARA. She teaches Business Law, Company Law, and Securities Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while also supervising research in Data Privacy and Security within the sphere of Artificial Intelligence Technology. Her research interests include Anti-Money Laundering, Terrorism Preventive Laws, and Information Technology Law, with a particular focus on AI-enabled services and their legal implications. Beyond academia, Dr. Kamaruddin is actively engaged in research and policy development, having contributed to ISO 37001 on the Bribery Management System for her university. She also serves as a reviewer for several Scopus-indexed law journals and is an editorial board member of the Journal of Social, Humanity, and Education. She has recently published a book on Business and Hospitality Law in Malaysia and regularly contributes to international legal scholarship.
