📖 Lecture Topic: “The Limits of Insurability: Climate Change, EU Product Liability and the Future of Risk Allocation”

The current lecture will take into consideration European Insurance Law vis-à-vis climate risk and recently made changes to product liability norms. A comparison of the traditional approach to the new risk proximity will be the theme for the whole study. The area requires close attention from the community, as the legal norms are evolving. The students will be encouraged to understand risk, insurability and resilience in this era of increased climate uncertainties and product liability directives as applicable from December 2026, which will integrate broader AI claims, data loss and psychological harms.
