We are pleased to inform that from 19 April 2023 we will host a visiting lecturers from University of Alicante, Prof. Julián López Richart and Prof. Llanos Cabedo Serna.

Prof. Julian López Richart is a full Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Alicante. His research activities are mainly focused on intellectual property law and new technologies law, on which he regularly teaches courses in the different master's degrees and seminars in Spain and abroad. He is the Director of Master on Digital Society Law and the Director of the Research Group on Law and New Technology (IUSTEC) at the University of Alicante; he is also a member of Metaverse Academic Chair, the Research Group on Intellectual Property Law of University of Alicante and EUIPO Academy. He was Vice-Dean of Academic Planning at the Faculty of Law of the University of Alicante. Currently, Professor López Richart, together with Professor Raquel Evangelio Llorca, leads the research project titled “Legal mechanisms to facilitate access to copyright-protected content in the digital single market” funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. He also coordinates the first joint European PhD programme on Intellectual Property (EIPIN Innovation Society), funded by the European Commission within the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, International Training Networks (ITN) programme.
Prof. Llanos Cabedo Serna is a Professor of Civil Law at the University of Alicante. She is gives lectures on IP law in particular at the University of Alicante, University of Carlos III in Madrid and Autonomous University of Madrid.
She is currently a member of the Research Group on Intellectual Property Law and of the Research Group on Tort Liability of the University of Alicante.
She has participated in the following projects on intellectual property as a research member: La protección de la propiedad intelectual ante los desafíos de la era digital (funded by the University of Alicante), Problemática actual de la tutela civil ante la vulneración de los derechos de propiedad industrial e intelectual. Particularities in the digital environment (R&D project funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and Legal tools to promote access to content protected by intellectual property rights in the digital single market (R&D project funded by the Ministry of Education and Science, The Digital Single Market for Europe. Private law aspects, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana. She is also a member of the Literary and Artistic Association for the Defence of Copyright (ALADDA).
