Our Guest will give a lecture on „ Corporate Governance in a Digital Era: Principles, Challenges and Emerging Trends” on Wednesday, November 20, 2024; 9:15 – 11:00 CET

The goal of the lecture is to equip participants with a deep understanding of:

Fundamental corporate governance principles, including transparency, accountability, and stakeholder responsibilities.
Comparative analysis of governance models globally (Anglo-American, German, Japanese) and their applications.

The European Union's governance standards and directives, with a focus on compliance and regulatory challenges.
Emerging governance trends, such as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, corporate social responsibility, and digital transformation in governance.

1. Introduction to Corporate Governance Principles
Core principles and their relevance to market stability and investor trust.
Role of corporate governance in enhancing business integrity and accountability.

2. Comparative Analysis of Global Governance Models
Overview of major governance models and their influence on corporate practices worldwide. Comparison of governance structures across the EU, the U.S., and other major economies.

3. The EU Framework for Corporate Governance
Examination of EU governance directives and their impact on member countries. Emphasis on Romania’s and Poland’s alignment with the EU’s governance standards and regulations.

Guest Lecture by Dr. Arti Aneja (Faculty of Law, University of Delhi)Dr. Arti Aneja is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, one of India's most prestigious law faculties, renowned for producing the largest number of siting judges in the Supreme Court of India and distinguished alumni across various fields. The Faculty currently serves over 10,000 students across LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programs.

Dr. Aneja brings 16 years of diverse experience in Litigation, Corporates, Research, and Teaching. She earned her Ph.D. in "Corporate Criminal Law" from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Post-Doctorate from the Mediterranea International Centre for Human Rights Research in Reggio Calabria, Italy and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration.

She has published extensively in both International and National journals on contemporary topics such as Corporate Law, Competion Law, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Technology Law, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dr. Aneja is also a visiting faculty at premier institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). Recently she had the opportunity to deliver guest lectures on Corporate Social Responsibility and AI in BRICS countries, and Data Protection Laws at Russian institutions such as Kutafin University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Tyumen State Law University.

Her contributions extend beyond the classroom, having conducted over 100+ training courses, led major research projects with government ministries and commissions, and presented papers at numerous national and internatioonal seminars. She has also collaborated with key legal bodies, including the Ministry of Law and Justice (India), the National Commission for Women, and the Competion Commission of India. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Aneja is actively involved in research, university administration, and several professional and social organizations.

Areas of Interest: Corporate Governance, Digital Technology, AI, CSR, and Business Laws, including Company Law, Competiton Law, Corporate Management, Corporate Finance Consumer Protection Law.
