Constitutional Law, a Comparative study of India and Poland
Plan of the lecture:
1) The Philosophy of both Constitutions
2) Fundamental rights and duties in both Constitutions and its impact for Governance
3) Judicial review, its use by Supreme Court of India and Constitutional Tribunal in Poland
4) Criticism of Judicial review in both countries
5) Current challanges
Dr Sanjay Bang is Associate Professor Law in CHRIST University, Pune Lavassa campus. He is currently a visiting faculty member at IIM Raipur and the author of two books. With 19 years of experience in teaching, his career has been marked by a commitment to education and public service. Before transitioning to academia, he practiced as an advocate for two years.
In his teaching career, he has contributed significantly to premier institutions, including a two-year tenure at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, where he taught IAS, IPS, and IFS officers. Additionally, he spent three years at the Kundal Forest Academy of Administration in Sangli, training Forest Officers.
He is a certified Master Trainer for the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Delhi, specializing in the Right to Information Act and the Right to Service Act. Notably, he has cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in three distinct disciplines: Law, Criminology, and Human Rights, showcasing his multidisciplinary expertise.
