Guest Lecture by Dr. Alba Gerdeci (Epoka University, ALBANIA)Dr. Alba Gerdeci is a lecturer and senior academic staff member at Epoka University in Tirana, Albania, where she has served for over 18 years in both academic and administrative roles. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and an Integrated Diploma in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana. She is a member of the Albanian Chamber of Advocacy as of 2010. Alba is currently teaching the courses International Law, International Criminal Law and Law of Treaties at the Department of Law. Her research interests include human rights, international crimes, international courts, the Responsibility to Protect (R2P), and the United Nations system. She is a member of the International Law Association (Albanian Branch) and the European Society of Criminology, actively contributing to scholarly debates on global justice, state responsibility, and legal harmonization in the context of European integration. Since 2013, she has also led the Epoka University’s internationalization efforts, at International Relations Office, where she has negotiated and overseen the implementation of numerous international agreements with partner institutions across Europe, US and beyond.
