The last meeting in the series of online seminars “Judicial Character in Hard Times” (part of the research project “Judges and Virtues”, www.virtuejurisprudence.pl) organized by the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law and State will be held today. Assoc. Prof. Jacek Potulski, (Head of the Criminology Division) took part (in the remote formula) in the 19th International Anti-Corruption Conference: Designing 2030: Truth, Trust & Transparency, which took place on November 30 - December 5, 2021 in South Korea. Prof. Potulski took the floor in the discussion. The conference is organized under the auspices of Transparency International. It is the world's largest forum for the exchange of ideas on anti-corruption policy.

During the World Conference on 28^th -29^th June 2021, organized by the Labour Law Research Network (LLRN) which gathers 79 labour law research institutions from all over the world, Assoc. Prof. Monika Tomaszewska, D.Sc. (Department of Labor Law) will present the results of nearly two-years of scientific research relating to the phenomenon of the working-poor.

Professor Natasza Szutta (Institute of Philosophy, University of Gdańsk) will be the keynote speaker at the third meeting (May 13th, 16:00 CEST) in the Seminar Series "Judicial Character in Hard Times" organised at the Department of Theory and Philosophy of State and Law. The title of Prof. Szutta's lecture is: "What is Virtue?".

On June 21, 2021, an international scientific conference will be held at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. "The Commonality v The Divergence: The rule of law standards and the role and limits of the courtroom".
