We are pleased to announce that classes have started at the School of International and Advanced Problems of Law. The participants of the School - nearly 60 people - are mostly students from Uzbekistan (Tashkent State University of Law) with the participation of students from Kazakhstan (Faculty of Law, Caspian University).

On 8th July 2022, a project entitled "Economy, Finance and Sustainable Development (Wirtschaft, Finanzen und Nachhaltige Entwicklung)", the leader of which is the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, received a grant from the Polish-German Foundation for Science (PNFN) based in Frankfurt, Germany.

We are glad to inform, that the "Journal of Contemporary China" (Routledge Taylor & Francis Group, IF: 3,126) has just published a paper “International Dispute Resolution of BRI-Related Cases: Changes and Challenges” by Dr. Magdalena Łągiewska (Department of Public International Law).

As the author wrote in the abstract: 

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Alexander Vashkevich from European Humanities University (Lithuania) visited our Faculty from May 25 to 28, 2022.

During his visit at our Faculty he conducted classes (lectures and workshops) on constitutional law for our students.

We are pleased to announce that Ms Natallia Leanovich from European Humanities University (Lithuania) visited our Faculty from May 16 to 20, 2022. Ms. Leanovich is the Manager of Mobility and Alumni Affairs in the Communications and Development Department at EHU and came to the University of Gdańsk as part of the Erasmus + program. The training conducted for the guest concerned the issues of international cooperation. The supervisor of her arrival was Professor Edvardas Juchnevićius.

Lectures and seminars with distinguished experts in the field of new technology law, IP law, Internet law, business and economics in the digital environment are scheduled!

We are pleased to announce that since May 30, 2022 we have been hosting visiting lecturer from The University of the West Indies at Cave Hill: Prof. Alina Kaczorowska-Ireland.

The guest was welcomed by the Dean of Faculty of Law and Administration, Assoc. Prof. Wojciech Zalewski In the following days, the Professor will be a guest at the lectures of Dr. Olga Śniadach on International Law and Human Rights.

On 4 March 2022, Dr Małgorzata Węgrzak and Dr Anna Podolska (Department of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law) delivered an on line lecture at the University of La Laguna in Spain entitled Artificial Intelligence after the pandemic: trends and challenges. 

On February 24, 2022 the Department of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law and the Department of Theory and Philosophy of the State and Law organized the staff seminar with distinguished professor Manuel Atienza, an outstanding Spanish philosopher of law from the University of Alicante.
