An article by a pair of authors - prof. Kamil Zeidler and Mrs. Aleksandra Guss: „The Protection of Cultural Heritage vs. the Right to Private Property: The Extraordinary Case of the Portrait of Dr. Gachet by Vincent van Gogh”. Was published in the Slovakian journal “„Muzeológia a kultúrne dedičstvo”. The aim of the paper is to present the history of the portrait of Dr. Gachet by Vincent van Gogh, whose buyer has decided  that after his death it was to be burned along with his corpse.

Max Planck Scholarship for Dr. Paulina Wyszyńska-Ślufińska

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Paulina Wyszyńska-Ślufińska (Department of Civil Law) received a monthly scholarship awarded by Das Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg. The scholarship was awarded to conduct research as part of the project entitled: "Compensation of moral damage caused to legal entities in a comparative perspective". The scholarship will be held in October 2022. We congratulate Dr. Wyszyńska-Ślufińska and wish her a fruitful research.
