Max Planck Scholarship for Dr. Paulina Wyszyńska-Ślufińska
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Paulina Wyszyńska-Ślufińska (Department of Civil Law) received a monthly scholarship awarded by Das Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg. The scholarship was awarded to conduct research as part of the project entitled: "Compensation of moral damage caused to legal entities in a comparative perspective". The scholarship will be held in October 2022. We congratulate Dr. Wyszyńska-Ślufińska and wish her a fruitful research.
Participation of Robert Obrzud, MA, LL.M. in a discussion at the Higher Regional Court of the Oberlandesgericht in Cologne (Germany)
On 25 October 2021, Robert Obrzud, MA, LL.M. (Department of the Commercial Law) took part in a discussion on "My Future as a Lawyer in Europe - This touches the Next Generation of Lawyers from France, Poland and Germany" held within the walls of the Higher State Court Oberlandesgericht in Cologne (Germany). The event was organized by the Government of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany with the presence of the Minister of Justice of the State Mr. Peter Biesenbach MdL, Minister for Federal and European Affairs and International Affairs of the State Dr.
Prof. Małgorzata Balwicka-Szczyrba and prof. Anna Sylwestrzak co-authored the publication in the International Survey of Family Law 2021 as the only Polish researchers.
The International Survey of Family Law is published by the International Society for Family Law, which is an independent, international and apolitical scientific association researching and discussing family law and related disciplines worldwide.
M. Łągiewska's lecture at the international conference in Lausanne: "The Impact of Covid on International Disputes"
On 14-15 October 2021, Dr. Magdalena Łągiewska from the Department of Public International Law participated in an international conference “The Impact of Covid on International Disputes” at CEDIDAC-Université de Lausanne organized in cooperation with the American University Washington College of Law. During the conference, Dr. M. Łągiewska presented a paper titled “New Landscape of Arbitration in View of Digitalization Process”.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova (Associate Professor of the International Law Department of the Siberian Federal University, Russia) will visit the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Gdansk.
The visit program includes inter alia open lecture on:
