Celebrating Europe Through Food: Pierogi Workshop with International Students

In anticipation of Europe Day, our Faculty hosted an extraordinary and delicious event that brought together students and volunteers from across Europe.

International students of the “EU Food Law” course (organized within the School of International and Advanced Problems of Private Law), Polish students of the Administration programme, and volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps working with Europa Direct Gdańsk, participated in a hands-on pierogi-making workshop.

The event was initiated and coordinated by Dr Olga Śniadach (Department of European Law and Comparative Legal Studies), in cooperation with Europa Direct Gdańsk. The Faculty’s canteen La Grand Bufet generously hosted the participants and served as the culinary stage for this unique experience.

Under the guidance of a professional chef, participants learned to prepare five different varieties of traditional Polish pierogi — and enjoyed tasting their creations together.

The event was as joyful as it was flavorful, combining culinary tradition with cross-cultural exchange in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We sincerely thank the chef for preparing the workshop and sharing his expert tips on crafting the perfect pieróg.
