Guest Lecture by Prof. Dirk Heirbaut (Ghent University, Belgium)

The Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk is pleased to announce a special workshop organized by the Center for Interdisciplinary Legal Research featuring Prof. Dirk Heirbaut (University of Ghent) on June 5, 2025.

Prof. Heirbaut is one of the world's most esteemed specialists in research methodologies applicable across all areas of law. He is the author of the groundbreaking monograph "Redefining Codification: A Comparative History of Civil, Commercial and Procedural Codes" (Oxford University Press), which has revolutionized traditional understanding and definitions of "codification."

Workshop Schedule:

  • 11:00 – 12:45: Part I. Dirk Heirbaut
  • 13:45 – 15:30: Part II. Dirk Heirbaut
  • 16:00 – 17:00: Part III. Research concept presentations and discussion: Katarzyna Latek and Adrian Warsiński
