From Khujand to Gdańsk and Back: A Successful Exchange Semester with TSULBP

Students from our partner institution, Tajikistan State University of Law, Business, & Politics (TSULBP), have now returned home after completing their exchange semester at the Faculty of Law and Administration in Gdańsk. They were warmly welcomed back during an intimate ceremony hosted by Professor Sheroz Muminozoda Abdujabbor, Rector of TSULBP, and Professor Rizozoda Tura Rabbim (Turakul Rabimkulovich Rizokulov), Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.

Students of the first year Constitutional Law course taught by Professor Marcin M. Wiszowaty had a special opportunity to explore legal pluralism from a global perspective during a guest lecture delivered by Dr. Francis Kariuki (Strathmore University, Kenya). The lecture focused on African customary law and its place within contemporary constitutional frameworks, offering a compelling case study of how diverse normative orders coexist and interact within a single legal system.

On 9 January 2026, the Faculty of Law and Administration hosted a working visit from the delegation of the International School of Finance Technology and Science (ISFT Institute), Samarkand Branch, Uzbekistan. The meeting was an initial step toward establishing institutional cooperation between our universities.

From 17 to 21 November 2025 the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk hosted a delegation of 35 students and academic staff members from Strathmore University (Strathmore Law School) in Nairobi, Kenya. The study visit took place at the invitation of the Vice Dean for Education, Prof. Małgorzata Balwicka-Szczyrba.
