Visit of a delegation from Tashkent State University of Law

During the week of November 4-8, we hosted a delegation from a partner university from Uzbekistan: Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) at our Faculty. For several years, we have been intensively developing bilateral cooperation with the Uzbek partner.

The delegation consisted of: Mr Durbek Makhkamov, The Head of the Department of Organizational Control and Strategic Planning of TSUL and Mr Bobur Uzokov, The Chief Specialist of the International Cooperation Department of TSUL.

Our guests met with the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Wojciech Zalewski. The main topic of the meeting was the latest project within our cooperation - a new English-language course of studies in the double/joint diploma formula concerning legal aspects of advanced technologies. The Dean emphasized that the Faculty has specialist units dealing with the issues of new technologies - such as the Center for New Technologies Law and the Department of Legal Informatics, and that the Faculty's academic staff will soon be enriched by another specialist in this field of knowledge with a high national and international reputation (we will inform about the details of this project in our media).

Then, the guests visited the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation and Development, Prof. Marcin M. Wiszowaty, to discuss specific issues related to ongoing, joint educational projects, international exchange with the participation of students from Uzbekistan, their promotion and subsequent editions of the programs.

Our guests visited classes within one of the international exchange programs in which students from Uzbekistan participate. These were classes of Prof. Nataliia Mushak - a specialist in the field of Public International Law.
