PhD Students from Kazakhstan Join the Faculty for Research Exchange
We are happy to host PhD students from our partner universities in Kazakhstan as part of the Central Asia Bridge Project.
The doctoral candidates will spend several weeks in Poland conducting research for their dissertations, consulting with our academic staff, and participating in specialized educational activities. During their stay, the visiting scholars will engage in one-on-one consultations with our faculty members to discuss their PhD thesis topics, which span various legal disciplines including International Law, Financial Law, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
The program also includes participation in lectures and seminaries focused on Legal Writing and PhD methodology, providing valuable insights into academic research approaches. The Central Asia Bridge Project at the University of Gdańsk is headed by Prof. Edvardas Juchnevićius, Dean's Representative for International Cooperation. Academic supervision and consultations are provided by Prof. Przemysław Panfil (Department of Financial Law) and Prof. Marcin Wiszowaty, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Development. Several productive meetings have already taken place, with more scheduled in the coming weeks.
This exchange initiative represents an important step in strengthening academic ties between Poland and Kazakhstan, fostering knowledge exchange, and supporting the development of early-career legal scholars. The Faculty of Law and Administration remains committed to international cooperation and is delighted to contribute to the professional development of our colleagues from Central Asia through this meaningful academic exchange program.
