CONNECTED BY LAW: Fostering Integration Among International Students
Though several weeks have passed since the event took place, its impact is still fresh — and well worth sharing now. On 9 April 2025, the Interdepartmental Student Research Group on Family and Custodianship Law successfully launched CONNECTED BY LAW, an initiative to help international students integrate into the life of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk.
The event included informal conversations, group activities, and a spirited volleyball match — the clear highlight of the day, as captured in a short video recorded and shared by one of our professors.
As one organiser put it:
“Interacting with foreign students of law was a remarkable experience. Despite the distances between our countries, we discovered how much we truly have in common.”
Due to the overwhelmingly positive response, the group plans to continue CONNECTED BY LAW as a regular programme. We are especially grateful to the professor who supported this initiative from the beginning.
Sometimes the best stories take a little longer to tell — but they’re worth the wait.
