Working visit from the International School of Finance Technology and Science (ISFT Institute), Samarkand Branch (Uzbekistan)

On 9 January 2026, the Faculty of Law and Administration hosted a working visit from the delegation of the International School of Finance Technology and Science (ISFT Institute), Samarkand Branch, Uzbekistan. The meeting was an initial step toward establishing institutional cooperation between our universities.

Discussions focused on developing collaboration in the field of law, including student mobility and exchange, staff mobility, visiting professors and guest lectures, and the development of joint and double-degree programmes(including a potential double-diploma curriculum). We also discussed joint conferences, seminars, and workshops as a platform for sustained academic dialogue and cooperation as well as advanced programs for graduates.

The visit and the discussions proved very fruitful. Notably, the day after the meeting we were informed that the ISFT Institute had decided to nominate an initial group of law students to participate in the next edition of our Faculty international student exchange programmes. We are very pleased to receive this encouraging news and we look forward to welcoming the first students from our new partner university at our Faculty. Classes will start at the beginning of March 2026.

Our Faculty has long-standing ties with Uzbekistan and will be pleased to broaden and strengthen academic cooperation with the university represented by our guests.
