Delegation from the University of Ghana School of Law Visits Our Faculty

From 12 to 18 April 2026, our Faculty was pleased to host a five-member delegation from the University of Ghana School of Law, led by its Dean, Professor Peter A. Atupare, as part of the International Staff Week at the University of Gdańsk.

The visit, supported by European Union-funded mobility Erasmus+, was much more than a cultural and academic exchange. The delegation took part in specialised training on “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Higher Education Institutions”, devoted to global best practices, innovative technologies, and the future of legal education in an increasingly digital academic environment.

During his stay, Professor Peter A. Atupare paid a special working visit to our Faculty, where he met with Assoc. Prof. Dr habil. Marcin M. Wiszowaty, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation and Development.

The Vice-Dean gave the guest a tour of the Faculty, presenting its teaching and research infrastructure, as well as spaces designed to enrich the student experience, including the art gallery and relaxation area. The visit also included facilities created to provide comfortable conditions for international guests, such as the International Lounge, a dedicated space available to visiting foreign lecturers.

The meeting also offered an excellent opportunity for academic discussion between two constitutional lawyers. Since both scholars are engaged, among other areas, in research on mixed republics, whose political systems combine republican institutions with elements of monarchy and remnants of nobiliary law, they agreed to initiate a joint research project leading to future co-authored publications on this topic.

We hope that cooperation with our partner institution in Ghana will continue to develop across several areas, including constitutional law, visiting professor programmes, student exchange, and broader collaboration in research and teaching.

We warmly thank Professor Peter A. Atupare and the delegation from the University of Ghana School of Law for their visit and inspiring academic exchange.
