Student of the School of International and Advanced Problems of Public Law are starting their classes.
Our students from partner Universities in Indonesia and Uzbekistan, participating in this year edition of the School of International and Advanced Problems of Public Law are starting their lectures next week.
On Friday, October 13, a welcome and organizational meeting for students of the School took place at the Welcome Center (Main Library of the University of Gdańsk).
First meeting with Winter Semester International Students (Erasmus+)
On Wednesday, October 11, an organizational meeting of the Faculty Team for International Cooperation with foreign students who are studying at our Faculty this semester was held.
In total, in the winter semester we host 55 foreign students from 11 countries around the world: Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Vietnam, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. These are students carrying out educational visits under the Erasmus+ program and international bilateral agreements on academic cooperation.
Lectures by Prof. Kamil Zeidler on Cultural Heritage Law at the Kyushu University (Japan)
Prof. Kamil Zeidler (Chair of Department of Theory and Philosophy of State and Law) visited Kyushu University in Fukuoka (Japan) with a series of lectures on Cultural Heritage Law. Students of Kyushu University's international program learned about the connection between culture and law. Intensive lecture is held from October 3 to 6, 2023.
Scientists from our Faculty at an international conference in Japan
Researchers from our Faculty participated in the international conference organized by the Japanese Section of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR).
The “East Meets West: Justice, Law and Politics” conference took place at the Chiba University between 16 and 18 September 2023. Two of the conference talks were given by our colleagues.
SEA-EU Alliance: Visit of the Faculty authorities to Cadiz (Spain)
From 5 to 9 June 2023, a delegation of our Faculty authorities in the persons of: Assoc. Prof. Wojciech Zalewski (Dean), Assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Balwicka-Szczyrba (Deputy Dean for Education) and Assoc. Prof. Piotr Uziębło (Deputy Dean for Science) visited the SEA-EU alliance partner university - the University of Cadiz (Spain).
The authorities held working meetings with representatives of the International Cooperation Office, with the dean's authorities of the Faculty of Law and with representatives of the academic staff.
Visit of a delegation of the Faculty Administration to Porto (Portugal)
As part of a delegation from the administration of the University of Gdansk, the Head of the Dean's Bureau - Mrs. Agnieszka Puchalska and Head of the Dean's Office - Mrs. Katarzyna Rynkowska took part in International Week in Portugal, at the ESTG - Politécnico do Porto.
The visit was carried out as part of the Erasmus+ academic exchange programme.

Visit of scholars from Thailand and South Africa
This week our Faculty was visited by guests from the Law Faculties of two partner universities:

- Prof. Eesa Fredericks, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Private International Law in Emerging Countries (University of Johannesburg, South Africa),

Our Faculty participates in the TRIIAL 2 project
We are glad to inform, that since 1 February 2023, our Faculty is a member of the international scientific consortium TRIIAL 2 - TRust, Independence, Impartiality and Accountability of Legal professionals under the EU Charter. The TRIIAL II team includes Prof. Tomasz Tadeusz Koncewicz, Head of the Department of European Law and Comparative Legal Studies, who is the Project Manager, Dr. Marcin Michalak from the Department of European Law and Comparative Legal Studies and Dr. Anna Podolska from the Department of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law.
