The 4th Polish-Lithuanian Colloquium: Challenges Faced by the State and Law in the Era of Covid-19

On March 4-5, under the auspices of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM), an International Legal Conference was held: "The 4th Polish-Lithuanian Colloquium: Challenges Faced by the State and Law in the Era of Covid-19". At the invitation of the main organizer, prof. Dorota Lis-Staranowicz (UWM), two scientists from our Faculty (Department of Constitutional Law and Political Institutions) took part in the conference: Assoc. Prof. Marcin Michał Wiszowaty (also Deputy Dean of our Faculty) was a member of The Scientific Committee of the Conference, and chaired the 1st panel devoted to the issues of the Compatibility of Restrictions of Human Rights with the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Poland. Assoc. Prof. Anna Rytel-Warzocha gave a speech on "Pandemic as a Threat and Challenge for Democratic and Free Elections". In the same panel, very interesting papers were also presented by: Prof. Toma Birmontiene (Mykolas Romeris University) and Assoc. Prof. Marcin Dąbrowski (UWM). We would like to thank and congratulate our colleagues from Poland and Lithuania for their valuable initiative and a very interesting conference. We are looking forward to the next edition of the Polish-Lithuanian colloquium.
